MCM flexible stone installs like a thin tile but behaves like a sheet: it is bonded to a prepared substrate with a suitable thin-set or polymer-modified adhesive, reinforced with alkali-resistant mesh at joints and transitions, and finished with a flexible grout or trim. Because the material is only 2–9 mm thick, the system adds minimal build-up to walls and columns.

Substrates MCM Can Go On
MCM bonds to most sound, clean, flat vertical substrates, including:
- Cement render / plasterboard / gypsum board (interior)
- Concrete and masonry
- Existing tile and painted walls (after proper preparation)
- Curved and radiused formwork, columns and arches
- Exterior façade substrates approved for the cladding system
Typical Installation Steps
- Prepare. Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, flat and load-bearing. Repair defects and apply primer where recommended.
- Layout. Dry-fit sheets, plan joints and match texture direction across panels.
- Bond. Trowel a compatible thin-set or polymer-modified adhesive evenly and press the sheet into place, working from the centre outward to release air.
- Reinforce. Embed alkali-resistant mesh at all joints, corners and transitions to control movement.
- Finish. Tool joints, trim edges, and apply the specified sealer or grout where the system requires it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can MCM be installed on curved walls?
Yes. The 2–9 mm sheet is flexible enough to follow radiused columns, arches and bullnosed edges without cracking — one of the main advantages over rigid stone.
Do I need special adhesive?
Use a compatible thin-set or polymer-modified adhesive recommended for flexible thin veneers and matched to the substrate and (for exteriors) the weather exposure. Avoid generic mastics.
Is it a DIY product?
Small interior feature walls can be handled by experienced installers; exterior façades and wet areas should be carried out by contractors following the documented system to protect the warranty.
