Overview
Southeast Asia’s fast urbanisation and post-Grenfell cladding rules have made non-combustible, lightweight façade materials a priority. Each market has its own building code and standards body, but the direction is consistent: restrict polyethylene-core panels and favour verified, inorganic systems. This hub groups the Southeast Asia guide with compliance and buying references.
TooFlexi’s A2 class (GB 8624) inorganic veneer fits that direction. See the fire-safety hub and specifications, then the regional guide.
Southeast Asia — The Compliance Landscape
- Malaysia. The Uniform Building By-Laws 1984 (UBBL) and BOMBA (Fire & Rescue Department) govern fire safety. High-risk and escape areas require Class O surface spread (BS 476 Parts 6 & 7). PE-core ACP is restricted above 18 m / 5 storeys; façade systems are referenced to MS 2571 and BS 8414 large-scale tests. CIDB certifies construction products.
- Thailand. The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) publishes national standards; building control follows the Ministerial Regulation on building control.
- Indonesia. SNI (Standard Nasional Indonesia) covers building products; fire safety follows national building regulations.
- Vietnam. QCVN national technical regulations and TCVN standards govern construction and fire.
- Philippines. The National Building Code of the Philippines (NBCP) and PNS standards, with fire safety under the Fire Code (RA 9514), set the framework.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does TooFlexi meet Malaysian Class O?
We do not hold a BS 476 Class O test, but our A2 (GB 8624) inorganic veneer aligns with the limited-combustibility intent behind Class O. BS 8414 / MS 2571 façade evidence can be discussed per project.
Is PE-core cladding an issue here?
Yes — across the region, polyethylene-core panels are restricted for high-rise use after Grenfell. TooFlexi is an inorganic, non-combustible-class veneer with no PE core.
Do you ship across Southeast Asia?
Yes. Orders ship FOB Shenzhen with freight to regional ports; contact our team for Incoterms and lead times.
